Jakob | Marsella Rechtsanwälte is a modern law firm in the heart of Zurich. The practice specialises in advice and litigation in commercial law and all criminal law matters. Jakob | Marsella Rechtsanwälte also covers the entire spectrum of private law, in particular matters relating to family law and inheritance law. Our clients include private individuals and companies.
Company law and contract law
Our advice on company law begins at the incorporation stage and extends from support with corporate housekeeping and company restructuring through to liquidation.
We provide comprehensive legal advice on devising, drafting and performing contracts (including GTC checks) in various areas of law, and provide support during contract negotiations. We sound out the hidden dangers of draft contracts that are often overlooked at the beginning of a contractual relationship.
Criminal law and road traffic law
We defend private individuals and companies at all stages of proceedings. In addition to general criminal law, commercial criminal law is one of our preferred working areas. We also support our clients on matters of road traffic law (including administrative proceedings).
Finally, we advise and represent injured parties in criminal proceedings by helping them draft criminal complaints and by assisting them in the enforcement of civil claims.
Family law and inheritance law
We represent and advise our clients in divorce and settlement proceedings, estate planning and the structuring of private and business financial assets.
Our team helps clients to draw up marriage and inheritance contracts, marital property agreements, donations and wills. In the event of loss of capacity of judgement, we support our clients in drawing up living wills and advance healthcare directives. We also act as appointees for living wills and as executors.
Employment law and migration
We cover all areas of employment law for employers and employees, both in an advisory and litigation capacity. We advise our clients on appointments and dismissals, and assist them in drafting employment contracts and employee participation programmes.
On migration law matters, we advise companies and private individuals on work and residence permits, and also represent them before government agencies and the courts.
Debt enforcement and bankruptcy law
We assist our clients with claims collection, whereby the option of freezing debtor assets by seizure or other measures is checked and any liability or avoidance claims are asserted.
We advise company bodies on the risk of payment difficulties and in the defence against liability claims.
Property and tenancy law
We advise and represent our clients on all matters relating to real estate and tenancy law. This includes not only tenancy issues but also the conclusion of property purchase contracts, advice on building and construction contracts, and support in the establishment, organisation and administration of commonhold associations.
Start-ups
We share the enthusiasm and passion of innovative entrepreneurs and help them to achieve their business goals. Our practice focuses on providing comprehensive advice and promoting the development of start-ups. This includes not only the numerous company law issues that arise during incorporation, but also the form and structure of the relationships between partners (e.g. shareholder agreements, articles of association), optimal protection of the business idea and the formulation of general terms and conditions (GTC). In addition, we also support and advise start-ups in strategic decisions as a sparring partner.
Philosophy
Efficiency, dependability and passion are our winning qualities. These values are founded on lean structures combined with exacting quality standards. We understand the needs of our clients because we look after them personally. Trusting collaboration in order to achieve client goals is at the heart of our work.
